At a time of the year when the local sports casts don't really interest me much, I found last night's little tidbit on spring practice fairly interesting.
The local Fox sports chick Courtney Timmons (and later in the evening Aaron Peters) had footage from spring practice yesterday showing Ryan Mallett punting.
We all know the Mallett can drink some alcohol, has a cannon for an arm, and will probably win two Heisman Trophies, but who knew he could boot a fairly nice spiral?
Well, probably his family, friends, teammates, and Razorback stalkers all knew, but I digress.
This little twist for the offense will make for some helpful special teams situations come fall, because the Razorbacks will be able to have their offensive unit out there anywhere around midfield on fourth down forcing defenses to line up to stop them, and Mallett can just drop a few steps further back and punt it.
